Thanks To The Decree 2018/191 Of March 02, 2018 On Government Rearrangement By President Paul BIYA, Louis Paul Motaze Was Appointed Minister Of Finance. He Was Installed In His Functions By The Prime Minister, Head Of Government, Philémon Yang, On March 6, 2018 In Yaoundé In The Hall Of Acts Of The Ministry Of Finance.
First Of His Session In The Entrance Exam To The National School Of Administration And Magistracy (ENAM) In 1981, He Left It Civil Administrator, Economy And Finance Section, Major Of His Promotion In 1983. He Strengthens His Capacities In France By Obtaining A DEA (diploma Of In-depth Studies) In Public Law And A DESS (diploma Of Specialized Higher Studies) In International Transport In 1985.
He Began His Career In The Economic Affairs Division Of The Presidency Of The Republic Of Cameroon In 1983. Then He Deposited His Suitcases At CAMSHIP (Cameroon Shipping Lines) From 1984 To 1989. He Then Joined CAMAIR (Cameroon Airlines) In 1989 And Stayed There Until 1999.
Backed By This Experience, He Took The Reins Of The General Management Of The National Social Security Fund (CNPS) In 1999, A Company In Structural Crisis With Pension Arrears. It Reorganizes The Business, Balances Arrears, Improves Cash Flow And Humanises The Reception Of Pensioners And Users.
This Remarkable Passage To The CNPS Reinforces The Confidence Of The Head Of State Who Appoints Him In 2007 Minister Of Economy, Planning And Regional Development (MINEPAT), In A Context Marked By The Seven-year Great Ambitions . It Draws Up The Growth And Employment Strategy Document (DSCE) And Seeks Innovative Financing To Implement The Structuring Projects Contained In The DSCE.
In 2011, His Service Led Him To The Post Of Secretary General Of The Prime Minister's Services: He Coordinated Government Actions Alongside The Prime Minister And, In His Capacity As Chairman Of The Steering Committee For Several Projects, Coordinated Large Projects Of The Great Achievements Of The State Of Cameroon And In Particular The Deep Water Port Of Kribi, The Hydroelectric Dams Of Lom Pangar And Menve'ele, The Iron Projects Of Mbalam And Bauxite Of Ngaoundal.
In 2015, It Was Up To MINEPAT To Continue Carrying Out Major Structuring Projects, The Foundation For The Growth Necessary To Reach The Emergence Of Cameroon By 2035. It Thus Improves The Consumption Of The Public Investment Budget (BIP) Which Is Almost 100%.
On March 2, 2018, Louis Paul Motaze Was Appointed Minister Of Finance In A Context Marked By The Economic Crisis Characterized By The Falling Costs Of Petroleum Products, Cocoa And Coffee; the Deterioration Of Budgetary Balances In The CEMAC Zone And The Implementation Of The Economic And Financial Program (PEF) Supported By The IMF's Extended Credit Facility (FEC) (2017-2019); the Elections In Cameroon And The Financing Of SMEs.
